P.K.M. Electric Cooperative, Inc. offers a loan and grant program to member/owners of the cooperative. To qualify, certain conditions must be met. P.K.M. member/owners who qualify by completing IRS form W-9 and passing a credit check or otherwise have demonstrated qualifying repayment history with the cooperative.
Member owned electric service upgrades, electric heating, geothermal installations, Energy Star appliances, standby generators and security systems.
Available for qualified P.K.M. member/owners for their home or shop located within the P.K.M. service area. Proof of purchase must be provided by photocopied receipts for material, labor or equipment and demonstrated that contractors and suppliers have been paid. Work and equipment may be inspected to ascertain compliance.
Outstanding loans are payable in full upon termination of electric service for any reason, change of electric supplier, and sale or change of residence.
- Loans of $100.00 to $1,500, 12 or 24 month term (Electric Upgrade or Appliance)
- $1,500.00 to $3,000.00, 12, 24, 36, or 48 month term (Electric Upgrade or Appliance)
- $3,000.00 to $6,000.00, 12, 24, 36, 48, or 72 month term (Geothermal Systems, Electric Heating or Appliance)
- $100.00 to $5,000.00 loans, 12 or 24 month term (Security Systems)
Payments will be added to the monthly electric bill.
