Member Services Manager

PKM Electric Cooperative is seeking a full-time Member Services Manager. Duties include working with members to solve issues with billing, metering, stray voltage, load management metering and controls, secondary locates including underground faults and electric floor cable repair.

Member Services Manager will be in charge of the PKM Annual Meeting, PKM newsletters, cellular modems at substations for metering, member rebate programs, distributed generation installation processes with NOVA Portal, some building & grounds maintenance including working with or lining up contractors, yearly budgeting processes, and working with automated metering infrastructure including ordering equipment and materials. Additional duties include monthly reports to the Board of Directors at board meetings, working with line crews restoring power during major outages and other duties as needed.

Required

  • Associate degree or more
  • Master or Journeyman electrical license-Preferred
  • Utility experience-Preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
  • Dedicated to self-development and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls

PKM Electric Cooperative is looking for a Journeyman Lineworker or a 4th year Apprentice to add to the Cooperative team. PKM Electric, headquartered Warren, Minn., provides electric service to approximately 3,900 members in Polk, Kittson, and Marshall counties.Duties include providing maximum service to the membership and customer base by assuring the highest possible degree of construction and line maintenance, which will provide for continuity of service to the members, and maximum safety for employees and the general public. They will assist in the construction, troubleshooting and repair of underground/overhead single and three-phase electrical lines, installation, and maintenance.

Journeyman Lineworker credentials preferred, however, PKM will accept applications from individuals who are their 4th year apprenticeship program. A valid Minnesota Commercial Driver’s License with DOT certification is necessary. Must be willing to serve on a paid standby rotation as well as work overtime as needed. Must be able to establish a good working relationship with crew members and management as well as have a working knowledge of RUS Construction Specifications, National Electrical Safety Code, and OSHA Rules and Regulations.
