Loan and Grant Program
PKM
Electric Cooperative, Inc. now offers a loan and grant incentive
program to member/owners of the cooperative. Certain conditions
apply for acceptance of the loan and payment of the loan can be
made with your electric bill each month. The following types of
loans are available:
Electric Service Upgrade Loan
This loan covers:
- electric
heating system installation of all types in homes or shops.
This includes air handling, central air or other permanently
installed climate control systems when installed in conjunction
with electric heat.
- service
upgrades for homes or shops.
- wiring
costs for natural air drying installations.
- wiring
upgrades for heating, safety or modernization in homes or shops.
We have a $6000 interest free loan available to install Geothermal systems in new or older homes. Click here for the application.
Appliance
Loan Program
This loan
covers:
- most home
appliances and water heaters to the extent not covered by rebate.
- appliances
installed and used in members homes on PKM electric lines.
- maximum
loan amount for appliances should be the total dollar amount
of purchases rounded down to the nearest $100.00.
Water Heater
Rebate Program
General Conditions:
- New or
replacement water heaters must be electric.
- Waterheater
must have an R-16 insulation value.
- Excess
cost of water heater installation not covered by the rebate
will be considered under the appliance program.
- Proof of
installation is required.
- Water heaters must have a ten year warranty to qualify for rebate.
